The Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta is proud to present Safety Village 2018, a comprehensive and fun safety education program for children entering kindergarten this fall. Now in its twenty-seventh year of operation, this program will be held starting Monday, June 25th through Thursday, June 28th, 2017 (9:30AM – 12:00PM) at the Sparta United Methodist Church.

Our enthusiastic club members staff the program with special assistance from the Sussex County Sheriff Department, Sparta Volunteer Fire, Sparta Volunteer Ambulance and other community volunteers. The children will learn about the many aspects of safety through fun and entertaining presentations, games, and projects. The program covers safety lessons on many topics including bear, bike and helmet, pedestrian, traffic, stranger danger, school bus, fire, police, ambulance, water, health, and telephone safety.

Children attending Safety Village should be taught their full name, parent or guardian’s full name, address (including state) and telephone number (home and cell) prior to participating in the program. This information will be reinforced and used during the week.

You will be notified via email upon receipt of your registration, advising you of your child’s placement in the program. Additionally an email will be sent to all registered participants prior to the start of Safety Village, detailing your child’s group information, drop-off and pick-up instructions.

A nonrefundable fee of $60.00 is due with the registration form and includes a Safety Village Tshirt and all printed materials. After May 31st, the fee increases to $75 to cover material rush charges. Please feel free to contact the Safety Village Registration Coordinator, at 973-400-9260 or jwcsparta@gmail.com for further information.
